Dear Parents and Guardians,
On Tuesday October 29, 2019, we are conducting parent interviews because the Barre Unified Union School District and all of our schools will host a team of educators from neighboring school systems and staff from the Vermont Agency of Education as part of our Integrated Field Review (IFR). The IFR is a process that happens every three years. A visiting team reviews documents, interviews students/parents/staff, and observes classes. This process is designed to reveal common practices in a school district or supervisory union. This is a collaborative process with staff members from our district also visiting and reviewing neighboring school systems in the weeks ahead. If you would like more detailed information about Integrated Field Reviews, please visit this link: http://ow.ly/NeEh50wtIIv
We would like to invite you to join us from 9:00-9:45 a.m. at your child’s school to participate in this process in parent interviews. Please know that this is entirely voluntary. If you wish to participate, please arrive to the main lobby of the school by 9:00 on Tuesday, October 29. Parents with students in multiple schools may choose which one to attend. There will be signs pointing you to the interview room.
Do not hesitate to reach out to your school’s principal with any questions or concerns. Thank you so much for your support in this valuable process.
