TITLE: Student Dismissal

Early Dismissal of Pupils
Standard
In order to properly account for all
children being dismissed from school at other than regular dismissal
times, students will be dismissed from the Principal's or nurse's office
only.
Procedures
If it is necessary for pupils to be
dismissed from school during regular school hours, the following
procedures will be followed:
- Teachers are to refer children who are
ill or have been injured to the nurse's office. The nurse will make
necessary arrangements (calling parents, informing office, etc.) for the
dismissal of the child from the nurse's office. Parents are to pick up
their children and sign them out at the nurse's office.
- If a child has a note from a parent
indicating he/she is to be dismissed for reasons such as dental or
doctor's appointment, the child and note should be sent to the
Principal's office where his/her parent(s) will sign him/her out.
- Students arriving late or returning from
an appointment must report to the Principal's office prior to going to
their classes.
