Non-Resident Pupils

A non-resident pupil is one who does not have a legal residence in the Town. Such pupils will obtain the approval of both the Principal and the Superintendent of Schools before being permanently permitted to attend school in this system. The tuition will be paid in accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding filed in the office of the Superintendent.

A request for waiver of tuition for participants in exchange programs or for extenuating circumstances will be made in writing to the Superintendent of Schools.

The Superintendent may waive tuition for up to 20 school days if it is deemed to be in the best educational interest of the child. Tuition waiver requests exceeding 20 school days must have severe extenuating circumstances and must be approved by the School Board.
