Barre Town Supervisory District Policy Manual TITLE: License and Endorsement Requirements CODE: GCFC License Standard Every person who teaches, administers or otherwise serves as a professional educator, except for substitute teachers, must be licensed or in the process of being licensed by the State Department of Education with endorsements in their grade level or area(s) of responsibility prior to the first day of employment. The Superintendent will be responsible for maintaining proper records of employees' license status and will take action as necessary to ensure that staff members are properly licensed. Staff will be licensed and obtain relicensure in accordance with the State of Vermont Certification Regulations currently in effect.
