Medical Examinations
Standard
All employees may be required to have
yearly medical examinations prior to the start of each school year
and/or during the school year.
Procedures

Personnel, full or part-time, who are in
this system may be required to submit to a complete and thorough
medical examination. The purpose of these examinations is to
ascertain that no illnesses exist which could be detrimental to the
pupils, the teachers, or to the school system. Forms required by the
system in conjunction with the health examination must be submitted
as evidence of meeting the requirements of this policy.

Examinations will be secured from a
professional licensed to perform medical examinations.

Should an employee fail to comply with
the request for a medical examination, that employee will be subject
to withholding of salary, suspension and dismissal. The decision to
withhold salary or suspend will be made by the Superintendent of
Schools. In the case of dismissal, action by the Board is required.
