Barre Town Supervisory District Policy Manual

TITLE: Safety Drills     CODE: EBCB

1. The school's emergency alarm system will warn occupants.
2. Building evacuation and lockdown procedures will be followed as outlined in the school evacuation plan by the Principal and practiced during emergency drills.
3. The teachers will move their students to assigned areas far enough away from the building so they are not in danger and will not hamper emergency operations.
4. If transportation of students becomes necessary, the students, in keeping with the Emergency Operation Plan will walk to the Wilson Industrial Park (or to an alternate site if necessary) to board buses. Teachers and para-educators will remain with the students until the pupils are released for home.
