Audits
The Barre Town School Board
will select an independent certified public accountant to conduct an
audit of the books. This audit will include all funds directly or
indirectly controlled by the Board.
The audit will also comply with the Single Audit Act as required by
Federal Law. Upon completion of the audit, the results will be made
available to the Board of School Directors at a duly-warned meeting,
within the time frame prescribed by the Barre Town Charter. A copy of
the audit report will be made available to any party requesting said
copy at cost.
The auditing firm will be
selected after review of qualifications and fees, and will be engaged
under contract and may be engaged for multiple years.
