Mt. Worchester Hike
On Sunday morning, November 15th, 2009, four students from Mr. Carpenter
and Mr. Lamb’s TAs' met at the Montpelier recreation area parking lot
for a trip up Mt. Worcester, the tallest peak in the Worcester Range
(3200 ft.). Brittney Cherrier, Michael Trombley, Brandon Williams, and
Kali Webster battled through difficult trail conditions and foggy
weather all the way to the summit. Though we were defied the 360 degree
panoramic view from the top due to the cloudy conditions, spirits
remained high and all made it back safely to the trailhead five miles
and 4 hours later. We look forward to making more outdoor memories with
our TA kids in the months ahead! |

Students in Mr. Carriers' 8th grade TA created T-Shirts to promote team spirit as they prepared to compete in a kickball tournament that was organized by Mrs. Allens' 8th grade TA, Mr. Carriers' students went on to win the tournament. (See photos under Kickball Tournament). Their lucky shirts proved very lucky for their team! |

Kickball Tournament We recently held a kickball tournament in Mrs. R. Allens' TA. It was between every other TA in 7th and 8th grade. We went around asking TA's if they were interested in playing in a kickball tournament. Most of them said yes. We then paired up teams to play against each other. Whichever team won advanced to the next round. In the event of a tie, both teams would advance. The team that won every round would be crowned the champs. We decided to buy a prize for the champion TA. The prize was a pizza party. To raise money for the prize, we had a bake sale. We raised almost $50.00 selling banana bread, trail mix and more for the winning teams' party. Mr Carriers' TA ended up winning the tournament.
